Robert Jacob Davis was born in upstate New York, moved to Austin, Texas, in his childhood, and currently resides in Dallas, Texas. He was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 1989 and subsequently admitted to the United States District Courts for Northern, Eastern and Western Districts in Texas, the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the Supreme Court of the United States. Mr. Davis received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Texas at Austin in 1986 and a Juris Doctor degree from Baylor University Law School in 1989. While in law school, Mr. Davis was a member of Phi Delta Phi honorary legal fraternity. Mr. Davis served as an Assistant City Attorney, City of Dallas, Texas during 1989-1994. He is a member of the Dallas Bar Association and the State Bar of Texas. Mr. Davis practices primarily in the area of litigation, employment law, and governmental defense. During his years with the Dallas City Attorney's Office and now in private practice, Mr. Davis has gained substantial litigation experience in both Federal and State Court, serving as lead counsel in numerous lawsuits, jury trials, and appeals.
